About Us

Our History

Dargan Farms is a fifth and sixth generation, family owned farming operation with land obtained before the Revolutionary War through a King’s Grant. We grow wheat, rye, corn, grain sorghum, soybeans, cotton, and turfgrass. Dargan Farms has been recognized as SC’s Top Large Farm of the year.

Both Edwin and Ned graduated from Clemson University with agronomy degrees. Dargan Turf Farm was started in 2001 when Edwin Dargan and his son, Ned, put their years of agriculture expertise to work in the turf growing business. They did so with one single goal – to provide the highest quality turf coupled with the best service available anywhere in Northeastern South Carolina. Dargan Turf has established a reputation for exactly that. Dargan Turf Farm provides turfgrass to homeowners, lawn professionals, athletic fields, and golf courses.

We also take pride in growing and selling strawberries to the public every Spring. We allow the public to come and pick-your-own strawberries right here on the farm. It’s fun for the whole family! Buckets of picked strawberries are also available to buy.

Every Fall, we build a corn Maze and open it for the month of October. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon with a lot of games, hayrides, and fun. On Friday and Saturday nights, bring your own flashlight to go throught the maze in the dark.

We love having friends, family and lots of people around us to join in on everything we do at the farm. For more information about Dargan Farms, watch the video:
