centipede grass

Centipede

Centipede is a low-maintenance turfgrass that is very popular in South Carolina. It can be cut with a conventional mower and is aggressive enough to crowd out weeds and other grasses. Centipede has low fertility requirements and performs best in full sun to lite shade. It is very tolerant to high temperatures and high humidity. Pictures

Tifway 419 Bermuda

419 Bermuda is one of the most attractive of the warm season lawn grasses because of its dark green color and fine blade structure. It is more of a high-maintenance type of grass and should be cut with a reel mower for best results.  This is a sun tolerant grass that prefers little to no shade. Pictures

Palmetto St. Augustine is a shade tolerant grass but also thrives in full sun. (NOTE: For less than 3-4 hours of sunlight, we recommend the use of ground covers or mulches.) It has a softer texture, more frost tolerant, and recovers better than other St. Augustine varieties. Pictures

JaMur Zoysia is much-improved replacement for other zoysiagrass cultivars. It is similar in appearance to a dwarf variety of St. Augustine. Its dense turf and blue-green color is the ideal choice for high visibility and high traffic residential and commercial applications, as well as an excellent golf course selection. It is shade, cold, and extremely drought tolerant (one of the most drought tolerant of grasses). Pictures
